Moorestown Township Public Schools

{bus} Excellence, Equity, and Engagement via Partnership

The Moorestown Township Public Schools are located in a quiet, tree lined suburb less than 20 miles from Philadelphia. In July of 2005, Moorestown was awarded the distinction of being named the “Number One Town in America to Live” by Money Magazine, with schools playing an integral part in the achievement.

The district is comprised of six schools: three elementary schools serving students in grades K-3, one upper elementary school (opened in 2001) serving students in 4th through 6th grades, one middle school serving 7th and 8th grade students, and one high school serving students in grades 9-12. Total enrollment for 2007-2008 is approximately 4,400 students.

Moorestown schools, students, and staff have a long history of outstanding academic success. All the schools have received numerous commendations, with the high school and the elementary schools receiving prestigious National Blue Ribbon status. Approximately 95% of the students continue their education at the post-secondary level. The district staff is talented and committed with over 60% holding advanced degrees.

Through our mission statement, excellence, equity & engagement via partnership, the Board of Education expects that all students will achieve the New Jersey Core Content Curriculum Standards at all grade levels.
