Social Studies

Supervisor: Roseth Rodriguez ext. 12038

The purpose of the Social Studies program is to develop an awareness of rights, opportunities, and responsibilities involved in being a citizen of the United States.  To that end, the social studies curricula aim to equip the student with a firm foundation for effective citizenship from a variety of sources, including history, geography, sociology, economics, law, and current issues.

Books can be picked up in the High School Guidance Department based on the schedule below. Availability is limited and NOT ALL books are available. A balance of $100 will appear on the account of students requesting textbooks. Failure to return the textbooks will prevent students from receiving their schedules prior to school opening in September. Books are due back to the High School Guidance Office, any books not returned will be charged to the student's account in the full, non-refundable amount.
