The Extended Day Care program is a tuition-based before and after school program for students attending Moorestown public schools in grades K through 6.  It is offered at our four elementary schools. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable program that complements our academic experience.  While attending the program, children will have the opportunity to choose activities designed to provide homework support, encourage creativity, and nurture exploration.  Recreational games and outdoor play will also be included.  

The Extended Day Care (EDC) before school program hours for the Upper Elementary School (UES) will be from 7 - 8 am.  At Baker, Roberts and South Valley, the before school programs will operate from 7 - 8:30 am.  During the morning session, students will participate in small group games, free play and crafts.

The after school program hours will be from 3 - 6 pm at the UES and from 3:30 - 6 pm at the three primary elementary schools.  Activities for the after school program will consist of completion of homework, participation in free choice activities, arts and crafts, as well as inside and outside exercise and free play time.  An after school snack must be provided by the parent/guardian.

Since our program is entirely tuition-based, a full school year commitment is required.  You may choose the number of days that your child attends each week based on the number of days before and after school care is needed.  Regardless of how many days per week your child attends EDC, you may choose to be billed monthly or annually.

Multiple Child Discount:

Enrollment policy - Please understand that once you register for an option listed above you are not allowed to switch the option without 30 days notice. If you choose to come to less days than initially registered for in a month, you will not be prorated or credited for any missed days in that month. 

Daily Drop in Passes Option: The drop in passes are designed for families who need afterschool care occasionally. On the day the pass will be used, the pass should be filled out entirely and sent in with the child to be handed to the site director. The school should be notified that the child will be attending the afterschool program as soon as possible. □ 5 day pass booklet- $150.00

Special Holiday Program: 
As a separate service of the Extended Day Care, parents can enroll students in the Holiday Program, where student focus is exploration and recreation, on select full and half day dates. All Holiday full day students report to the Upper Elementary School. All Holiday half day students report to their home school.

Tuition Payments

Tuition for September is due by August 15, 2016
Monthly payments are due the 15th of each month starting August 2016 - April 2017
Families currently in the BCCAP Program should e-mail a request to mtpsedc@mtps.com for an application.

LATE FEES:  Late payments will be subject to a $10 late fee.

LATE PICK UP POLICY:  If your child is not picked up by 6 pm, a charge of $20 will be charged every 15 minutes after 6 pm. If this happens more than three times, your child will be removed from the program.

RETURNED CHECK FEE: $20 for all returned checks


Registration is CLOSED. Since the Extended Day Care Program is tuition based, registration for the program is active during the second half of the current school year through summer for the upcoming school year. The NON-REFUNDABLE $50.00 FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE can be paid by mail-in check or online. Mail check payments to Moorestown Extended Day Care Progam 803 Stanwick Road Moorestown ,NJ 08057. You can also make the registration fee payment online on our website www.mtps.com in the Parent Payment Portal under the Item/Fees tab where online check and credit card payments are accepted.
There are several methods to pay for services. Once your student(s) is registered, you will receive an invoice. If you elect to pay online, you can access the itemized fees on our website www.mtps.com in the Parent Payment Portal under the Items/Fees tab where online check and credit card payments are accepted. You can also set up e-mail reminders for monthly payments due by the 15th day of the month. Payments can be mailed or hand delivered to the Administration Building during regular office hours.
