Registration Checklist 


Grades 4-6 registration process starts with you entering your child's registration information online using our Genesis Open Registration. If you have more than one child to register in grades K through 12, you may enter their registration information at the same time online. If you do not have access to a computer, call our District Registrar, Cathy Kain at 856-778-6610 ext. 12019.

For students re-entering the District or who reside in Moorestown and attend a private school, please call the Registrar before entering their information online.

After filling out your registration data online, you will need to contact the District Registrar, Cathy Kain, to schedule an appointment to finalize your registration.




REQUIRED INFORMATION TO BRING TO YOUR REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT

  • 5 Proofs of Residency
    • If you are currently a resident, bring five documents, such as: utility bills, licenses, permits, insurance, car registration, voter registration, tax bill, receipts, cancelled checks, medical reports, employment documents, delivery receipts, business record, survey, fire inspection, title, settlement paper, homeowners, etc.
    • If you are in the process of buying a home in Moorestown, provide your agreement of sale and complete the Certificate of Residence.
    • If you are leasing, bring a copy of the entire signed lease at the time of registration and four other proofs (within 30 days).
    • If child and parent are moving in with a Moorestown resident, provide five forms of proof of residency and a signed Affidavit of Residency-Child and Parent Living with Resident.
    • If you will be supporting a child other than your own, provide five forms of proof of residency as well as either Legal Guardian documentation or Affidavit for Non-Resident Pupils.
  • Original Birth Certificate or Passport.
  • Copy of New Jersey Transfer Card, with SID# (10 digits) if transferring from a New Jersey public school.
  • If your child has an IEP (Individual Education Plan from the Child Study Team), bring the most current documentation.
  • If Applicable - Custody/Guardianship Documentation if there is a Legal Restraining Order, Custody Order, Name Change or any other legal documentation.
  • Copy of most current report card 
  • Registration Requirements for the Moorestown High School Health Office


 

SUMMER MATH & LANGUAGE ARTS PLACEMENT TESTING FOR NEW STUDENTS
Note, you must have met with Cathy Kain to finalize registering prior to signing up for the summer placement testing.

Summer placement testing is for new students who are interested in testing into a course above their current course level in either Math, Language Arts and/or World Language. If you are interesting in taking a placement test in any of the three subject areas, please register for the test below. 



EXTENDED DAY CARE

The District offers a tuition-based Extended Day Care Program for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, at our four elementary schools. The program offers both morning sessions and afternoon sessions and has flexible daily, weekly and drop-in (with prior registration) options. The morning sessions begin at 7:00 am and run through the start of the school day. The afternoon sessions start at the end of the school day until 6:00 pm.For more information, please refer to the Extended Day Care Program webpage. 


WELCOME FAMILIES FOR NEW STUDENTS

The school has a Welcome Families team made up of parent volunteers that supports new families transition to our community by personally welcoming you and your child. The team connects new students with other students in the same grade through planned activities or events prior to the beginning of school.

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

  • Meet with Cathy Kain to finalize registration. Must call Cathy Kain for an appointment at (856) 778-6610 x 12019
  • Create Parent Payment Portal account for school lunch, tuition and activity payments (opens early August)
  • Login to Genesis to fill out the required online First Day forms. After submitting forms, you may view student homeroom and bus transportation. Note, 6th grade students must complete forms as well under their student Genesis account. (available in early August)
  • Complete Welcome Families form, if desired to be contacted by welcoming team.
