A Message from the Superintendent


August 20, 2026

Dear Moorestown Families,

There is a lot happening in Moorestown Township Public Schools as we prepare to begin the 2026-2027 school year and there is real momentum as we welcome our students back.

Our buildings have been busy all summer. Construction projects are moving forward, classrooms are being prepared, new staff members are joining our schools and our teams have been working hard to get ready for nearly 4,000 students to return.

Last year, our community made an extraordinary investment in the future of our schools by supporting the September referendum. This summer, that investment started to become visible. Work has been underway on HVAC improvements, roofing, safety and communication systems, MHS tennis courts and stadium turf, while planning continues for the larger referendum projects ahead. We made significant progress and remain on track as this important work continues.

We are also beginning the year with a clear direction for our district. Over the past several months, hundreds of students, staff members, families and community members helped shape our new three-year strategic plan, Focus on the Future: Building on a Legacy of Excellence. What we heard throughout that process was clear: You are proud of our schools and want us to preserve what makes them exceptional while continuing to grow and prepare our students for the future.

This year, that plan moves from development to action. We are focused on ensuring every student belongs, every student is prepared for the future, and every student experiences exceptional learning, while continuing to strengthen the connection between our schools and community.

A year ago when I sent this letter, much of this work was still ahead of us. Today, we can see the progress. We have welcomed talented new educators, staff members and school leaders. Improvements are happening throughout our schools, and there is a shared sense of purpose about where we are headed.

The plans matter. The projects matter. The progress matters. But ultimately, our work is about people and especially the students who will soon fill our schools again. Our students return on September 1, 2026 and we are ready for them.
