STEP 1

Grades 7-8 registration process starts with you entering your child's registration information online using our Genesis Open Registration. If you have more than one child to register in grades K through 12, you may enter their registration information at the same time online. If you do not have access to a computer, contact our District Registrar, Cathy Kain at [email protected] or 856-778-6610 ext. 12019.

For students re-entering the District or who reside in Moorestown and attend a private school, please call the Registrar before entering their information online.


 

STEP 2

After filling out your registration data online, you will need to contact the District Registrar, Cathy Kain at [email protected] to schedule an appointment to finalize your registration.

Required Information to Register Your Student
Preferred method of submitting information is to email Cathy Kain or upload the documents into Genesis Open Registration.  You may also drop off or mail the information to the registrar's office.  Please submit copies only.

  1. Copy of Birth Certificate or Passport.
  2. Doctor Certified Immunization Record.
  3. 5 Proofs of Residency - with current date
    • If you are currently a resident, bring five documents, such as: utility bills, licenses, permits, insurance, car registration, voter registration, tax bill, receipts, cancelled checks, medical reports, employment documents, delivery receipts, business record, survey, fire inspection, title, settlement paper, homeowners, etc. Per board policy, do not send envelopes as proof of residency; must be first page of documentation inside the envelope.
    • If you are in the process of buying a home in Moorestown, provide your agreement of sale and complete the Certificate of Residence.
    • If you are leasing, bring a copy of the entire signed lease at the time of registration and four other proofs (within 30 days).
    • If child and parent are moving in with a Moorestown resident, provide three forms of proof of residency from the Moorestown resident and two forms of proof of residency from the child's parent/guardian as well as a signed Affidavit of Residency-Child and Parent Living with Resident.
    • If you will be supporting a child other than your own, provide five forms of proof of residency as well as either Legal Guardian documentation or Affidavit for Non-Resident Pupils.
  4. If your child has an IEP (Individual Education Plan from the Child Study Team), bring the most current documentation.
  5. If Applicable - Custody/Guardianship Documentation if there is a Legal Restraining Order, Custody Order, Name Change or any other legal documentation.
  6. Copy of New Jersey transfer card, if transferring from a New Jersey public school, with SID# (10 digits).
  7. Copy of most current report card and standardized testing
  8. All Forms listed below - printed and filled out

 


STEP 3

Please print, complete and submit to Cathy Kain the following forms.

  2. Affidavit of Residency - Child and Parent Living with Resident
  3. Certificate of Residency
  4. Health History Form * - Fillable or Printable (sign and email to Cathy Kain)
  5. Registration Requirement Form * - Fillable or Printable (sign and email to Cathy Kain)
  6. Physical Exam Form * (in spanish)- physical examinations on this Sports Physical Form are required for all new students regardless if student is playing a sport.

  8. Home Language Survey * - required if didn't fill out during the online preregistration
  9. Special Education Forms - for students who are classified with an Individual Education Program, IEP

  • MATH, LANGUAGE ARTS AND WORLD LANGUAGE SUMMER TESTING FOR NEW STUDENTS for 2024-2025
    Note, you must meet with Cathy Kain to finalize registering prior to signing up for the summer placement testing. 

    Summer Math Testing
    All new students enrolling in grades 7 and 8 are required to attend the summer testing for Math. The Math summer testing will be administered on four separate dates: June 26, July 17, August 14 and August 28 all beginning at 9:00am (please arrive at 8:55am).  Register for the one date that is convenient for you. Please register for the summer math test below.  


    Summer ELA Testing

    All new students enrolling in Grades 7 and 8 are required to take the  ELA MAP Reading assessment during the summer.  The  ELA summer testing will be administered on two separate dates: July 17 and August 28 beginning at 12:45 pm at Moorestown High School.  Register for the one date that is convenient for you.  Please register for the summer ELA  placement test below. 


    World Language Testing

    Summer placement testing is also available for new students who are interested in testing into a course above their current course level in  World Language.  The World Language summer placement testing will be administered on August 23 from 9am to 11am at Moorestown High School.  If you are interesting in taking a placement test for World Language, please register for the test below.  



     

    WELCOME FAMILIES FOR NEW STUDENTS
    The school has a Welcome Families team made up of parent volunteers that supports new families transition to our community by personally welcoming you and your child. The team connects new students with other students in the same grade through planned activities or events prior to the beginning of school.

    REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

    • Purchase One School One Book book
    • Create Parent Payment Portal account for school lunch, tuition and activity payments (opens early August)
    • Login to Genesis to fill out the required online First Day forms.  After submitting forms, you may view student homeroom and bus transportation.  Note,  Middle School student must also complete forms under their student Genesis account. (available in early August)
